Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Business/Data Analysis or related field.
• Experience facilitating workshops and coordinating stakeholder meetings.
• Strong documentation of data projects (specifications, mappings, rules).
• Ability to translate complex concepts into clear information for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Advanced SQL for complex extractions, transformations, and analysis.
• Understanding of data architectures (DW, Data Lakes, Lakehouses, ETL).
• Experience with enterprise data platforms, big data, and data integration.
• Hands-on experience creating data visualizations, reports, and dashboards using BI tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional English fluency (written and spoken).

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Business Analyst Lead based in Brazil.

We are looking for an experienced Data Business Analyst Lead to bridge the gap between business needs and technical data solutions. In this role, you will translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications and actionable insights. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure data initiatives align with strategic objectives. You will leverage advanced SQL and Power BI to analyze data, develop reports, and support informed decision-making. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to international projects within a collaborative, technology-driven environment. You will also help strengthen data governance, documentation, and analytical practices across diverse business domains.

Accountabilities:

• Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications, ensuring alignment between business objectives and data solutions.
• Create and maintain essential project documentation, including data dictionaries, transformation rules, metric definitions, and business logic.
• Design and implement data mappings across multiple sources, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and reliability.
• Analyze and interpret complex datasets to generate actionable insights and support strategic business decisions.
• Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to define project objectives, clarify requirements, and ensure successful delivery.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize reports and interactive dashboards using Power BI or other business intelligence tools.
• Write and execute advanced SQL queries to extract, transform, validate, and analyze data.
• Lead stakeholder workshops, surveys, brainstorming sessions, and meetings to gather requirements and clarify business rules.
• Communicate analytical findings and technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements:

• At least 4 years of professional experience in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, or a related position.
• Proven experience facilitating workshops, leading stakeholder meetings, and coordinating brainstorming sessions.
• Strong background in documenting data projects, including technical specifications, data mappings, transformation rules, and business requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible information.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, particularly for complex data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Solid understanding of modern data architectures and concepts, including Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, Lakehouses, and ETL processes.
• Experience working with enterprise data platforms, big data environments, and data integration solutions.
• Hands-on experience developing data visualizations, reports, and dashboards using Power BI or comparable BI tools.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Nice to have:

• Previous experience working on projects within the Pharmaceutical (Pharma) or Healthcare and Life Sciences (HLS) industries.
• Practical experience with Databricks and Power BI.
• Experience working with international teams and complex data initiatives.
