Currently, we are looking for an Senior Analyst who is able to:

  • Design, improve and sustain data quality metrics
  • Support product's needs in defining and delivering data based insights for the customers
  • Proactively investigate and react to discrepancies in data
  • Time-Series forecasting

All results will be implemented directly into the product, so this role involves both developing models/metrics and heuristics and deploying them into production. The position involves not only data analysis, developing hypotheses, and models, but also writing production-level code.

Responsibilities

  • Data storage and requesting data from the development team
  • User behavior analysis
  • Identifying growth opportunities for the product
  • Ad hoc research
  • Generating product hypotheses
  • Product analysis and sales forecasting, including identifying seasonality and trends
  • Developing the system of metrics for internal usage
  • Developing data driven insights for the customers

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis
  • Knowledge of mathematical statistics and practical experience applying it
  • Strong programming skills in Python (Pandas, Numpy)
  • Ability to write complex SQL queries
  • Skill in selecting appropriate data evaluation methods: analytics, research, or using external data
  • Ability to tackle complex problems in situations with incomplete data
  • Attention to detail and ability to see tasks through to completion

Preferred

  • Experience in marketplace analytics and deep understanding of marketplaces base metrics and ranking algorithms
  • Presenting results and data visualization
  • Industry experience in Machine Learning: understanding of core modeling and training approaches, ML development experience (raw data analysis, hypothesis formulation, model creation, experimentation, and deployment into production)
