Overview
The Data Analyst 3 is responsible for understanding business/department needs and goals and creating high quality data-driven analysis and insights to support strategic decisions and drive business impact. Success in this role requires a strategic mindset, the ability to challenge the status quo, and strong storytelling skills to distill complex findings into practical insights.
What you will be doing
- Lead large, complex analyses where information about business trends and issues are gathered from key internal business stakeholders and best practice guidance is provided
- Develop and maintain executive level dashboards that enable the business to answer complex business questions and provide actionable insights and reports to enable business stakeholders to track critical KPIs
- Lead improvements to our analytics capabilities, operational processes, and collaboration with other teams.
- Deliver actionable business recommendations through analyses and data storytelling via clear, concise and effective presentations
- Report on findings and make recommendations; summarize analyses into clear, concise and effective presentations; deliver content as necessary
- Perform data integrity audits; evaluate and propose recommendations on methods and procedures for managing data
- Compose internal documentation that details processes and findings
- Monitor industry statistics and follow market trends
- Provide training and guidance on how to interpret and apply data
- Identify and improve internal efficiencies and grow knowledge of the team; remain current on best practices and market trends
- Operate as a trusted advisor on issues and trends; provide general consulting services leveraging expertise and significant best practice knowledge
- May provide guidance to other team members
- Contribute to the team's general knowledge base and ongoing professional development
- Comply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland’s Information Systems Security Policy
What will make you successful
- Fluent in speaking and writing in English
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Engineering or a related technical field)
- PowerBI Analyst Certification or equivalent
- Min. 4 yearsexperience as a Data Analyst
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to work independently or as a team.
- Strong analyticalskills with the ability to make meaningful recommendations that will inform our business strategy based on data analysis.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Proficiency in SQL and/or programming languages such as Pythonon, Apache Spark or R desired.
- Expertise manipulating large data sets, interpreting data trends, connecting data sources, and using visualization tools to tell a story with data.
- Knowledge of data warehousing technologies and SQL server. Experience building data pipelines and analyzing large datasets are a plus.
- Highly organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking

- Demonstrated ability to articulate complex topics both verbally and in writing to diverse audiences
- Strong business and technology acumen. SaaS experience is a plus.
