Job summary

Parafuzo, leading Latin America’s on-demand home services marketplace, seeks a CTO to steer technical strategy and mentor the team. The role demands a natural leader who delivers results across architecture, development and delivery of consumer-facing web and mobile apps.

The ideal candidate has built and scaled complex systems and will guide testing, analytics and cloud infrastructure to accelerate releases and business growth.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience leading and managing high-performance development teams.
• Experience in software architecture and development leadership.
• Proven track record of developing, deploying and scaling consumer-facing web and mobile apps.
• Experience with Docker container environments.
• Experience with microservices and REST APIs.
• Languages: Ruby, Python, Java, JavaScript, Clojure, SQL.
• Frameworks: Rails, Sinatra, AngularJS.
• Platforms: Google Cloud/Kubernetes, AWS.
• Database: PostgreSQL, MongoDB.

Responsibilities

The Role

We are looking for a CTO (Chief Technology Officer) who can provide technical leadership and training for the rest of the tech team. The ideal applicant will be first and foremost a natural leader and results-driven professional. Additionally, she or he should have an organized, structured and creative mindset that drives him or her to find innovative solutions to a diverse set of problems, including how to increase the frequency of our releases, how to implement better testing and analytics, and how to treat the data we collect and how to feed it back so our systems can make better decisions.
