This role reports directly to the CEO and Managing Partner and works closely with the Executive Assistant, Operations, and Marketing teams to manage and grow Kinship Ventures' high-value relationships. We need someone who thrives in a startup environment, understands American business culture, and values respect, teamwork, and open communication.

Who we're looking for

The CRM Relationship Manager will play a key role in managing investor and founder relationships, ensuring seamless communication, and optimizing the use of our CRM systems. This person will be responsible for maintaining detailed records, streamlining operations, and nurturing relationships that drive the success of Kinship Ventures and its partners.

Key Responsibilities

Oversees & Manages:

  • LPs (Limited Partners): Ensuring proper engagement, outreach, and relationship tracking.
  • Traditional Talent: Managing high-profile relationships and ensuring consistent communication.
  • High-Profile Relationships: Overseeing direct engagement with influential figures and business leaders.
  • Partnerships & Vendor Relations: Managing partnerships and ensuring these resources are available to our founders and companies.
  • Friends & Family: Managing key personal relationships that contribute to the broader ecosystem.


1. CRM Management & Data Integrity

  • Oversee and manage CRM systems (HubSpot, Maps, Substack) to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Implement and optimize workflows and processes within ClickUp to streamline relationship tracking.
  • Train team members on effective use of CRM tools and best practices.
  • Generate reports and insights from CRM data to support decision-making.
  • Conduct weekly CRM audits to verify all records are up-to-date, correctly categorized, and error-free.
  • Cross-reference all CRM entries with Mojs iPhone contacts (:800 names) to maintain data integrity and eliminate duplicates.
  • Manage data hygiene by ensuring no duplicates, misclassifications, or outdated contacts exist.
  • Track and update engagement history with every major contact to ensure no relationships go stale.
  • Create and maintain CRM dashboards that offer visibility into relationship health, engagement metrics, and revenue opportunities.


2. Investor and Founder Relations

  • Act as the main point of contact for key investors and founders, managing inquiries and communications promptly.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with stakeholders through regular updates, meetings, and tailored communication.
  • Support investor relations initiatives such as meetings, reports, and presentations.
  • Schedule meetings, maintain calendars, and document follow-ups to ensure engagement consistency.
  • Ensure consistent, meaningful engagement with strategic contacts by sending follow-ups, relevant news, and thoughtful check-ins.
  • Run quarterly engagement reports, analyzing who needs further engagement and where relationship-building efforts should be focused.


3. Revenue-Driven Engagement & Business Growth

  • Identify, track, and prioritize high-value relationships tied to business growth.
  • Support Moj in brand partnerships, investor outreach, and revenue initiatives by ensuring seamless communication and follow-ups.
  • Track deal flow and partnership opportunities to maintain consistent progress on potential investments and collaborations.
  • Work with marketing to ensure CRM data aligns with external campaigns, newsletters, and content engagement.
  • Manage gifting and special outreach campaigns to enhance relationship goodwill and retention.


4. Operational Support

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, EA, Marketing) to ensure smooth communication and project execution.
  • Monitor performance and engagement metrics to continuously improve relationship management efforts.
  • Assist in organizing events, meetings, and investor/founder networking opportunities.
  • Work closely with Moj to develop engagement strategies and ensure relationship continuity.


5. Strategy and Reporting

  • Analyze CRM data to provide insights and recommend strategies for enhancing relationship management.
  • Provide regular reports on investor and founder engagement, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure all CRM activity is measurable, generating weekly reports on engagement progress and areas of focus.
  • Develop structured processes for handling introductions, event invitations, and network expansion.
  • Ensure consistent, timely communication and follow-ups to strengthen key relationships.

  • You understand your position within the organizationyou must decide whether you are a gatekeeper or a facilitator at any given moment, balancing authority and efficiency accordingly.


Phase 2: Mastery & Expansion (9-18 months)

  • Develop and manage talent pipelinesyou proactively identify, recruit, and build an ecosystem of high-value relationships.
  • Create leveragemove lower-priority tasks off your plate by structuring an operational support system.
  • Systemize everythingstandardize workflows and export best practices across the organization.
  • Master a core domaindemonstrate that you can fully own and execute within a key business function.
  • Act as my proxyyou must learn to operate on my behalf in select areas, particularly in relationship-driven tasks.
  • Do what no one else willyou take ownership of the gaps, inefficiencies, and pain points that others ignore.
  • Integrate strategic kindness and influencerecognize that small, high-impact gestures create long-term business opportunities.

What You Bring:

  • Experience:
    • 3+ years in a relationship management, CRM, or support role; experience in venture capital or private equity is a plus.
    • Proven ability to build and nurture professional relationships with high-profile stakeholders.
    • Background in managing CRM systems like HubSpot.
    • Experience in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in CRM tools with experience optimizing workflows and generating insights.
    • Strong data analysis and reporting skills to track engagement and provide actionable insights.
    • Familiarity with scheduling, communication, and task management tools.
    • Adept at training team members on CRM systems and ensuring adoption.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
