A leading financial solutions provider in São Paulo is seeking a seasoned Lawyer to manage legal compliance and contract negotiations. You'll lead various legal projects, support corporate governance, and provide tailored legal advice across multiple areas. The ideal candidate has 6-7 years of experience, a law degree, and is registered with the Brazilian Bar Association. Fluency in English is essential. Qualificações

  • 6 - 7 years of post-qualification experience as a Lawyer, preferably in-house counsel.
  • Duly registered with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB).
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

About the Role
  • Prepare drafts, review and independently negotiate documents of different areas and variable complexity (such as NDAs, service agreement, engagement letters, software related agreements, employment agreements, head-hunter agreements, lease agreements) ensuring compliance with legal framework, identifying potential risks and providing acceptable mitigation suggestions in a timely manner.
  • Analyze, organize and align comments and changes in contracts reviews with external counsels, key internal and international stakeholders, including the Global Legal & Compliance.
  • Conduct legal research on relevant regulations and case law to support decision making, ensuring contract terms and corporate alignment with latest legal developments and internal policies.
  • Provide, jointly with the corporate legal team, tailored legal advice across multiple areas such as corporate governance, labor, tax, civil law and regulatory (including Central Bank matters), ensuring strategic alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Draft, review and coordinate the execution of corporate resolutions, ensuring that all legally and governance-required elements are accurately reflected in the minutes, while also managing with third party service providers, under the Corporate Legal Manager’s supervision: (i) submissions to the Central Bank and registrations with the Board of Trade; and (ii) registration of the minutes in corporate books, in accordance with local corporate regulation.
  • Enhancing internal legal processes, developing standardized templates and implementing best practices to increase efficiency in both legal analysis and compliance.
  • Lead, under the Corporate Legal’s Manager supervision, specific projects related to license application to Central Bank, compliance with LGPD (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados), corporate and tax structuring initiatives.
  • Coordinating cross-functional legal initiatives, preparing materials, improving reporting structures and weekly routines with stakeholders;
  • Coordinate requests for documents to international stakeholders, receipt, translation, notarization and registry with local external counsels and paralegals, in accordance with local regulations.
  • Support the Corporate Legal team by establishing routines to monitor legal updates, sharing relevant information with key stakeholders, assessing potential impacts on the company’s business, and proposing and implementing appropriate solutions.
  • Support knowledge sharing and internal development initiatives through the preparation of materials or participation in training activities
Requirements
  • 6 - 7 years of post-qualification experience as a Lawyer (preferably some experience working as in-house counsel), strong general profile, desirable experience with corporate, civil, labor and regulatory (Central Bank) law;
  • Bachelor's degree in law;
  • Duly registered with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB);
  • Strong ability to manage priorities;
  • Good organization and proactive profile;
  • Clear and objective communication skills for interaction with diverse internal and external stakeholders;
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken);
  • Excellent legal technical skills and strong attention to detail;
  • Solid interpersonal and collaborative abilities.
