Overview

We are seeking an entry-level Figma Designer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will work within existing Figma files (based on Webflow templates), customizing and adapting designs using client-supplied imagery, text, and content direction. This role requires strong Figma skills, a basic understanding of Photoshop and Illustrator, and the ability to work efficiently within a design system.

This is a remote contract position. We prefer candidates based in the USA or Brazil.

Role Details

• Compensation: $40/hr
• Estimated hours per project: 10–20 hours
• Typical project duration: 2–3 weeks
• Project load: Up to 3 projects at a time, depending on availability
• Work scope: All work will be within existing Figma templates, not from scratch

What You’ll Do

• Customize existing Figma templates based on content, imagery, and design requirements
• Treat and prepare imagery using Photoshop and/or Illustrator
• Adapt client-supplied images and copy into layouts that match template structure and visual identity
• Maintain design consistency and visual polish throughout the files
• Collaborate with developers and copywriters as needed
• Deliver organized and complete Figma files with assets properly managed

Who We’re Looking For

Must-Have Skills & Requirements:

• Proficiency in Figma – confidently working within established design files
• Basic image treatment skills – working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
• Understanding of visual hierarchy – ability to adapt templates to different content types
• Good English communication skills – clear communication via Slack, email, or Loom
• Portfolio required – include links to previous Figma work and treated imagery samples

Not a Fit If:

• You're an agency or company – this position is for individuals only
• You are uncomfortable working within existing Figma files
• You lack experience with basic Photoshop/Illustrator image treatment
• You require direct client interaction – this role is not client-facing

Bonus Skills (Not Required but Nice to Have):

• Experience working with developers and copywriters
• Familiarity with Webflow templates
• Basic knowledge of web layout principles and responsiveness
• Experience using shared design libraries and styles in Figma
