The position:

We are looking for a Sales Advisor to join our Wilhelmsen Ships Services team. This position will act as the key point of contact for customers, advising and supporting them on which products to buy, when, why, and where. The role also involves managing orders, providing excellent service, and driving sales through proactive follow-ups on quotes to increase conversion.

About the location / department:

The position will be located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. You will report to the Customer Service Manager for your territory and closely cooperate with Sales, TSMs, TSBDMs, and other internal stakeholders, including Operations and Credit.

Who you are:

We are looking for someone with a customer-focused mindset, the ability to adapt to customer needs, and a proactive attitude. You should have a passion for inside sales and customer service, with the ability to turn opportunities into sales growth.

Required experience and skills:

  • Relevant education and/or work experience in inside sales or customer service.

  • Fluent in English – both written and spoken.

  • Interest/experience in the shipping industry and marine products.

  • Strong commercial understanding and sales skills.

  • Excellent networking, interacting, and communication skills.

  • Ability to react/adapt to customer needs and turn opportunities into sales.

  • Growth mindset and "Can Do" attitude.

  • Ability to use digital tools and data-driven insights.

  • Excellent telephone and inside sales skills.

  • Strong organizational and execution skills, delivering quality customer service and sales.

What you will be doing:

  • Work closely with customers, understanding their needs and providing commercial guidance.

  • Keep customers informed about order status, surcharges, and relevant changes.

  • Proactively follow up on quotes and convert them into orders.

  • Promote sales campaigns and initiatives to customers.

  • Support sales teams during Business Reviews, bringing operational insights.

  • Capture customer information in the system and help them standardize requests (Star List information).

  • Engage in customer visits, collaborating with Sales (KAMs, TSMs, TS&BDMs).
