Jobtailor in São Paulo, Brazil seeks a Data Platform/Analytics Engineer to drive analytical data modeling and data governance across Commerce capabilities. You will design data models and oversee ETL/ELT processes from transactional systems into a centralized analytics store.

You will collaborate with architecture, product and engineering teams, guiding business capability squads on data modeling, pipelines, and quality standards to deliver value-driven analytics for the commerce platform.

Qualificações

• Experience in analytical data modeling (dimensional modeling, star schema).
• Hands-on ETL/ELT development from transactional systems.

Descrição da oferta de emprego

• Work on the Business Platform with an analytical data perspective across all business capabilities (Commerce Experience, Commerce Platform and other future capabilities).
• Map, for each business capability, which data should be brought into a business analytical data store.
• Design the analytical data modeling that will support cross-capability reports and analyses.
• Build and maintain data extraction and transformation processes (ETL/ELT) from transactional systems into the analytical model data store.
• Support and guide business capability teams in modeling their transactional databases, anticipating future analytical extraction needs.
• Ensure quality, consistency and governance of data made available to the Business Platform.
• Act as a bridge between data architecture and business architecture, translating future reporting needs into today’s modeling requirements.
• Contribute to the definition and evolution of modeling and data governance standards on the Business Platform.
• Work in an integrated manner with architecture, product and engineering teams of the business capabilities.
• Support technical decisions related to the data architecture of solutions.
• Analyze and resolve complex technical issues related to data.
• Contribute to the continuous evolution of the data layer of the company’s digital platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Statistics, Data Science or related fields
• Solid experience in analytical data modeling (dimensional modeling, star schema, data marts or equivalent).
• Practical experience with data extraction and transformation pipelines (ETL/ELT) from transactional systems.
• Experience with relational databases and analytical/data warehouse platforms.
• Ability to act consultatively with transactional teams on database design.
• Data product mindset, prioritizing what generates analytical value for the business.
• Advanced SQL experience.
• Experience with version control using Git.
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
• Ability to work autonomously and cross-functionally, supporting multiple business capabilities simultaneously.
• Experience with pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt or similar) is a plus.
• Experience in e-commerce or digital commerce environments is a plus.
• Previous experience in platform, architecture or cross-functional organizations is a plus.
• Knowledge of public or hybrid cloud is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in collaborative environments.
