Job Description Summary:

Positions in this sub-family are responsible for developing, managing, and delivering support services to the organization's sales force. Activities include:

  • Processing orders from customers and resolving complaints
  • Advising customers on product shortages, expected delivery dates, price changes, etc.
  • Providing data and reports, generating analytical studies from available sales databases, and consolidating information to support the sales team
  • Acting as a liaison between customers, production, distribution, and sales teams
  • Selecting, managing, and training on sales-related systems and databases
  • Assisting sales teams with individual account and sales territory planning
  • Performing administrative duties to ensure smooth operational flow between business, customers, and vendors

  • Accountable for ongoing activities; may lead processes or project steps within a broader project
  • As an individual contributor, works independently with limited supervision
  • As a team leader or supervisor, manages support or para-professional employees with limited responsibilities, setting daily operational objectives
  • Handles problems that are difficult but not complex, often requiring new perspectives

  • Checks and corrects problems not immediately evident in existing systems and processes
  • Recommends enhancements to systems and processes to improve effectiveness
Communication & Influence:
  • Explains policies, practices, and procedures within the organization
  • Communicates with internal contacts to explain or interpret information for agreement
  • Works to justify and gain cooperation on practices, policies, and procedures
Knowledge:
  • Typically requires a University Degree (Bachelor) or equivalent experience
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience
