We are looking for a Consultant, Academia and Government (Fixed-Term)to join our consulting team in Brazil. The Consultant is a critical member of project teams, providing analytical insight, leadership and creativity to client engagements, business development efforts and internal initiatives.Consultants work alongside senior members of the team to define engagements, build work plans and develop deliverables with robust and valuable recommendations that are vital to ensuring our clients achieve success.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, relevant work experience
3+ yearsof experience in a client-facing/consulting role or academia and government sector.
Fluency in Portuguese and English.
It would be great if you also had:
MS/MPH/MBA/PhD is preferred
Project management experience with consulting or professional services.
Postgraduates or researchers in bibliometrics and evaluation who can commit to 20 hours per week for the duration of the engagement, will also be considered for this position
Experience in using Clarivate and analytics products specifically WOS/JCR/INCITES.
Experience with data analysis tools and techniques and the ability to use them to extract meaningful insights.
Experience in managing grant applications and evaluations
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and feedback management abilities.
Additional language skills: Spanish
What will you be doing in this role?
Lead data analysis and interpretation, deriving actionable insights for customers.
Develop and apply advanced analytical techniques to solve complex problems.
Take ownership of specific project components and deliverables in complex projects.
Manage overall project execution and delivery in small customer engagements with defined outcomes.
Present findings and recommendations to customers with strong communication skills.
Guide and coordinate other consultants within projects to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
Interact directly with customers to understand requirements and translate them into actionable data analysis plans and present findings.
Contribute to the development of project strategies and methodologies by leveraging analytical insights, industry knowledge, and collaborative brainstorming to shape comprehensive strategies that align with project goals.
Contribute to proposal development by understanding customer needs, suggesting appropriate solutions, describing analysis plans, generating pitch materials, and advising on effort estimates within the relevant area of expertise.

The Academic and Government Consulting group is made up of three practice areas: Research Analytics, Reputation, and Evaluation & Assessment. Across our practice areas, there is also a wide range of skill sets (e.g., data scientists, bibliometricians, visualisation specialists, etc.). Across our different practice areas there is also a wider variety of capabilities and services we provide to clients along with different commercial and go-to-market models.
