A leading reinsurance company located in São Paulo seeks a Legal and Compliance Analyst to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in the (re)insurance sector, strong knowledge of legal regulations, and excellent communication skills in English. This role involves providing guidance on compliance matters, reviewing contracts, and tracking legal changes to support management in a compliant manner.

Qualificações

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the (re)insurance sector.
  • Business-fluent written and spoken English; Spanish is a plus.

Responsabilidades

  • Provide advice, guidance and support on legal, regulatory and compliance matters.
  • Review and draft contracts and corporate/regulatory documents.
  • Promote a positive Compliance culture within the company.
  • Act as a point of contact on regulatory matters.
  • Identify, assess, monitor and report compliance risks.
  • Develop Legal and Compliance processes and policies.
  • Prepare Compliance management reports.
  • Track legal changes and advise management.

Munich Re has been present in the Brazilian insurance market for over 30 years.

With the reinsurance market opening in April , we were the first foreign reinsurer to be registered as a local company, consolidating our operation and becoming one of the leaders in the Brazilian reinsurance industry.

Compliance with applicable laws and internal standards is binding for all Munich Re employees.

To ensure compliant conduct, Group-wide minimum compliance requirements were created, namely Compliance Management System (CMS), a methodological framework for the structured implementation of the early warning, risk control, advisory, and monitoring functions within Munich Re.

The local Legal and Compliance function at Munich Re acts as business partner and trusted advisor to support steering of Group based on adequate and structure information.

Based in São Paulo and reporting to the Legal and Compliance Officer for Latam, the Legal and Compliance Analyst will focus on the mitigation of compliance risks and ensuring appropriate compliance with all necessary laws and regulations relevant to Munich Re in Brasil, Mexico and Colombia in a proactive and risk based manner.

Your tasks
  • Provide advice, guidance and support on legal, regulatory and compliance matters.
  • Review and draft contracts and corporate / regulatory documents.
  • Actively promote a positive Compliance culture within the company.
  • Act as a point of contact on regulatory matters.
  • Identify, assess, monitor and report the compliance risks.
  • Develop Legal and Compliance processes and policies in accordance with Group Compliance & Legal (GCL) requirements and ensure they meet local laws, regulatory requirements and the regulators' expectations.
  • Undertake Compliance oversight and monitoring to assist stakeholders to comply with legislative and other requirements.
  • Prepare Compliance management reports (regular and ad hoc) to Management, GCL and Audit Committee to ensure appropriate transparency and information flow.
  • Track legal changes and ensure an early warning on new legal and regulatory requirements and other internal or external regulations as to advise management appropriately.
  • Advise and support executives and (senior) management to achieve targets in a sustainable and compliant manner by acting as trusted business partner, yet preserving professional independence.
  • Maintenance of risk governance framework locally.
  • Provide internal trainings, as required.
Your Profile
  • Strong knowledge of legal and compliance regulations and requirement related to the (re)insurance sector.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the (re)insurance sector.
  • Knowledge of Local General Data Protection Requirements (LGPD).
  • Knowledge of ESG is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Business-fluent written and spoken English (Spanish is a plus).
  • Law and Brazilian Bar (OAB).
