Sobre o Papel:
The Cloud Operations Engineer will provide hands‑on operational support across Eightpoint's multi‑cloud infrastructure spanning AWS and GCP. This role focuses on maintaining reliability, supporting CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring observability across all environments while enabling the Dev Ops team to focus on project‑driven initiatives. The position reports to the Director of IT & Cybersecurity and works closely with the Dev Ops and Systems Administration teams.
Responsabilidades:
- Administer and support AWS infrastructure including EKS clusters, Elastic Beanstalk environments, EC2, S3, Cloud Front, RDS, and IAM across a multi‑account environment.
- Support GCP workloads, primarily Big Query pipelines and related data infrastructure.
- Maintain and troubleshoot self‑hosted applications including Airflow, Grafana, and other internal tooling.
- Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions, including self‑hosted runners.
- Participate in incident response processes—triage, root cause analysis, remediation, and post‑incident documentation.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting tooling (Grafana stack—Loki, Tempo, Mimir, Alloy; Cloud Watch; One Uptime).
- Manage infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform.
- Participate in on‑call rotation providing support across US and offshore time zones.
- Contribute to documentation in Confluence and maintain runbooks for operational procedures.
Qualificações Necessárias:
- 5+ years of experience in a cloud operations, DevOps, or infrastructure support role.
- Strong working knowledge of AWS core services (EKS, Elastic Beanstalk, EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, Cloud Front).
- Hands‑on experience administering containerized workloads (Kubernetes/EKS, Docker).
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions.
- Demonstrated experience with incident response workflows—detection, escalation, remediation, and RCA.
- Experience deploying and maintaining observability tooling (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting).
- Proficiency in Linux administration and shell scripting (Bash, Python).
- Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure‑as‑code.
- Experience with Atlassian tooling (Jira, JSM, Confluence).
Qualificações Preferidas:
- Experience with GCP, specifically Big Query and related data services.
- Experience with Grafana OSS stack (Loki, Tempo, Mimir, Alloy/Faro).
- Experience supporting Airflow or similar orchestration platforms.
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Associate, Sys Ops, or Dev Ops Engineer).
- Experience working in multi‑account AWS environments with consolidated billing/cost allocation tagging.
- Exposure to ZTNA/VPN solutions (Firezone, Twingate, or similar).
