Mars is seeking a FinOps Sr. Analyst in São Paulo, Brazil, to support financial operations and cloud cost management across multi-cloud environments.

You will analyze spend, build dashboards, and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to forecast and optimize cloud expenses. The role requires a finance or accounting background, 1–2 years of experience, strong analytical skills, and experience with CSP cost-management tools.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and analysis techniques.
• Proficient in Excel and data visualization tools.
• Experience with CSP cost management tools is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Support day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable and accounts receivable activities and maintain accurate records.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within financial operations with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor and analyze cloud expenditures across multi-cloud environments.
• Implement cost-saving strategies and best practices to optimize cloud spend.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide visibility into cloud costs.
• Assist in budget planning and forecasting for cloud expenses with detailed cost analysis and modeling.
• Identify and recommend cost optimization opportunities such as right-sizing, reserved instances, and autoscaling.
• Continuously track and report on the effectiveness of cost-saving measures.
• Develop and enforce cloud cost management policies and governance frameworks.
• Leverage FinOps tools to automate and streamline cost management processes.

Job Description:

The FinOps Sr. Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting financial operations and analysis, ensuring accurate financial data and assisting with financial reporting. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of financial principles. The ideal candidate is a proactive and results-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

This role is pivotal in managing, optimizing, and forecasting our cloud spend across multi-cloud providers. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of cloud cost management, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable activities. Help maintain accurate financial records and resolve any discrepancies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within financial operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Monitor and analyze cloud expenditures across multi-cloud environment.
• Implement cost-saving strategies and best practices to optimize cloud spend.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide visibility into cloud costs.
• Assist in budget planning and forecasting for cloud expenses.Provide detailed cost analysis and financial modeling to support decision-making.

Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
• 1- 2 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a financial analysis or operations role.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
• Proven experience with main the CSP (Cloud Service Providers), especially in Azure and GCP cost management tools and services.
• Proficiency in cloud cost management tools (e.g., CloudHealth, Cloudability, AWS Cost Explorer, etc.).
• Knowledge of scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
• Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau) as a plus
• Knowledge and experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting as nice to have.
