Overview

We are seeking a Mid-level Developer to join our innovative team working on the Big Data Fabric Services (BDFS) within SAP. This role involves building a platform that enables SAP Lines of Business and customers to access and process big data efficiently using technologies like Apache Spark, Kubernetes, and SAP's HDLFS cloud storage.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and ensure quality of product features in an agile environment.
• Work primarily with Java, contributing to the development of scalable data processing platforms.
• Mentor junior developers and collaborate with product owners and architects on technical solutions.
• Create proofs of concept and research new technical approaches.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Analysis, IT, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering.
• Fluent in English with excellent programming skills and understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to troubleshoot complex issues, and familiarity with design patterns, CI/CD, TDD, and software quality assurance.
• Experience with cloud development and a willingness to learn new technologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Java or Go, and CI/CD pipelines.
