Civil Engineer Experienced with water/wastewater conveyance/pipeline type work - Remote

We are seeking experienced civil engineers with a strong background in the design and delivery of water and wastewater utility infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have proven skills in preparing construction drawings, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and working with municipal standards for underground utility systems.

This role involves the preparation of detailed plan and profile drawings, technical specifications, and construction-phase submittals for pipeline and utility alignment projects. Familiarity with pressurized systems, trenchless methods, and public agency deliverables is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop utility construction drawings (including plan and profile views) for pipeline and conveyance systems.
2. Coordinate construction detailing, technical notes, and drawing packages for water/wastewater improvements.
3. Apply municipal or agency standards and support review cycles at progressive submittal levels (e.g., 60%, 90%, Final).
4. Interface with project managers, CAD/BIM staff, and external stakeholders to support design coordination.
5. Contribute to QA/QC processes and revisions throughout the design development cycle.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in utility design (water/wastewater, sanitary, or storm systems).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D for utility layout, alignment modeling, and plan/profile sheet production.
• Familiarity with construction submittals, document preparation workflows, and coordination practices.
• Understanding of open-cut and trenchless construction methods (e.g., HDD, jacking, tunneling).
• Strong communication and organizational skills for remote collaboration.
