Your role and responsibilities

As a junior data scientist, you will contribute to developing and refining machine learning models, experimenting with various supervised and unsupervised algorithms. You will perform exploratory data analysis, identify patterns and trends, and collaborate with data engineers to ensure proper dataset preparation.

You will also help create proofs of concept (PoCs) to validate the technical feasibility of models, document results, and analyze metrics such as precision, recall, and F1-score. Additionally, you will support transitioning models to production, ensuring reproducibility and alignment with project goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine machine learning models to address business challenges.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and trends.
• Collaborate with data engineers for dataset preparation and validation.
• Create PoCs, document model results, and evaluate metrics.
• Assist in transitioning models to production, ensuring reproducibility and alignment with project needs.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Experience in data science, machine learning, or related fields.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and modeling.
• Understanding of statistics, probability, and machine learning fundamentals.
• Familiarity with cloud data resources such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, especially Azure Machine Learning.
• Desire to learn and grow in a collaborative, innovative environment.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Experience or interest in tools like Azure Cognitive Services, Azure ML AutoML, Azure Container Instances, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Knowledge of deploying models and monitoring in cloud environments.
• Experience analyzing model performance metrics such as precision, recall, and F1-score.
