Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Scientist with expertise in predictive and prescriptive modeling applied to industrial operations to join our growing team. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for constructing models to solve business problems, communicating with the technical team, and ensuring delivery meets business expectations. You will also work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data analytics initiatives.

Main Accountabilities

• Design, create, test, and implement complex models and algorithms that drive analytical solutions across the organization.
• Provide technical support for data scientists across multiple squads.
• Collaborate with business analysts to understand business problems and implement scalable, sustainable solutions.
• Define development standards and solution approaches.
• Design and structure reusable codebases.
• Coordinate with MIS, Digital Specialists, and Data Engineers to deliver holistic analytical solutions.
• Communicate the design, functioning, and output of analytical models/solutions developed.
• Ensure timely analysis and testing for regular maintenance of solutions over time.
• Communicate data insights to stakeholders.

• Assist in structuring business problems and hypotheses, translating them into advanced analytics approaches including machine learning and optimization components.
• Develop business awareness of potential use cases and help teams understand data science and optimization concepts for better communication.

Education/Experience

• Advanced knowledge in mathematics, analytics, and computer science, including machine learning methods, statistical models, and advanced data science programming.
• Avoid common pitfalls, ensure logical consistency in models, revisit high-performing systems, write reusable code, build resilient data pipelines in cloud environments, and ensure data quality.
• Capable of mentoring associates and data scientists, and communicating effectively with stakeholders and management.
• Model behavior as a team player and foster innovative ideas.
