BotBot is seeking a highly experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and scale our operations based in São Paulo, Brasil. We are a deep-tech company specializing in advanced robotics and hardware solutions.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in financial management, operational execution, and client relationship management within startup environments, preferably in robotics or hardware technology sectors.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operational Leadership : Oversee all business operations, implementing strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and organizational effectiveness.
- Financial Strategy : Develop comprehensive financial plans, manage budgets, forecasts, and optimize financial performance indicators to support strategic decision-making and sustainable growth.
- Fundraising and Investor Relations : Lead funding rounds, manage investor relations, execute due diligence processes, and secure strategic partnerships and investments.
- Client and Partnership Management : Act as a key representative of the company, managing strategic client relationships, negotiating partnerships, and expanding our business ecosystem.
- Team Building : Recruit, mentor, and lead high-performing teams, fostering a culture characterized by accountability, transparency, innovation, and collaboration.
- Scalability and Growth Management : Implement and oversee scalable systems, processes, and infrastructure to support rapid growth and operational resilience.
- Compliance and Risk Oversight : Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and proactively manage operational risks and liabilities.
Requirements :
- Deep-Tech and Robotics Experience : Proven experience in operational or executive roles within deep-tech industries, particularly in robotics, hardware, or similar complex technology environments.
- Startup and Fundraising Expertise : Demonstrated track record of successful leadership in startup environments, including experience raising capital through investment rounds and managing investor relationships.
- Financial and / or Engineering Background : Solid professional background or academic credentials in finance, engineering, or related technical fields.
- Academic Credentials : University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related fields. Relevant certifications (CFA, CPA, etc.) are highly desirable.
- Client and Partnership Handling : Proven ability to establish and nurture strategic client relationships and business partnerships effectively.
- Leadership and Strategic Vision : Strong organizational leadership skills, strategic decision-making abilities, and capability to drive innovation and operational excellence.
- Communication Skills : Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, essential for internal team management and external stakeholder engagement.
- Language Proficiency : Fluent Portuguese and fluent English are essential due to frequent interactions with international clients and partners.
- Location : São Paulo, SP. This is a fully in-person role at our office on Av. Faria Lima (no remote or hybrid options).
