The QRILL Company AS is seeking a Chief Engineer for our vessels in Antarctica. The ideal candidate will lead the engine department, manage projects, and ensure efficient operations. As the Chief Engineer, you will oversee all technical operations within our organization. You will be responsible for leading the engine department, managing projects, and ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our equipment and facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background as a Chief Engineer, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in similar roles. The Chief Engineer is overall responsible for all technical installations onboard the vessel, including R&M and spare parts management, while ensuring costs are maintained at or below budget.

The right candidate has experience from shipping or fishing companies, is structured and systematic yet flexible, and has a positive, can-do attitude. You are motivated to respond in a 24/7/365 operation.
Vessel/Antarctica
Rotations are approximately 8 weeks on and off, with crew changes in Montevideo, Punta Arenas, and Puerto Williams. Deviations may occur due to operational needs.
