The Chemical Engineer II is responsible for conducting all testing activities under the ETEC# R&D project, focused on the development and delivery of a chemical product designed to enhance water injectivity in oil reservoirs.

As a Chemical Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensure compliance with Manage the Job Cycle (MtJC) process
  • Subject Matter Expert for their area of support
  • Support the field technically through different media (online, phone calls and technical papers)
  • 24/7 Support for Critical Operations in the field when needed
  • Share the knowledge across the organization by submitting best practices, case histories & lessons learned to the knowledge management database
  • Follow up on field failures that requires Technology involvement and ensure that the learning is shared across the field
  • Raise an alert across the Service Delivery organization whenever an unfamiliar technical issues arises on a job
  • Coach other technical resources in their area of expertise
  • Communicate to Engineering and Technology organization on issues and lessons learned related to different technologies
  • PL specific responsibilities
  • Perform the tested needed to develop the product aimed at improving injectivity in oil wells
  • Warranty the test chronogram for the ETEC is accomplish
  • Develop report of the technical data obtained by the testing
  • Prepare together with the project coordinator the inform for the gate meetings
  • Install and commissioning new equipment
  • Warranty calibration and maintenance of the equipment

  • Have bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • Displays initiative, is self-driven & flexible
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to develop and mentor others
  • Availability on call outside of normal business hours
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese is a requirement for this role

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Thorough understanding of PL technology and Service Delivery requirements
  • Significant operational experience
  • End to End knowledge of the drilling and completion process is an advantage
  • Ability to learn and use various computer tools to prepare data and visualizations for analysis
  • Ability to work independently
