Ascension Medical Group is hiring for a part-time Medical Assistant role in Brazil, IN. You will support primary care with patient interviews, vital signs, basic clinical duties, and clerical tasks in a clinic setting.

Minimum requirements include a BLS provider certification and Medical Assistant credential within specified timelines. CMA experience is preferred and strong attendance is expected.

Qualificações

• BLS Provider within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date required.
• Medical Assistant within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date required.
• Note: professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with treatments ordered by provider under supervision by provider or registered nurse.
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on charts; prepare treatment rooms.
• Perform basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
• Assist with materials management: ordering and stocking supplies; keep environment clean.
• Document provider encounters and transcribe orders for labs, imaging, and medications as indicated.

How you'll make an impact in this role

• Assist with treatments ordered by provider as supervised by provider or registered nurse. Perform select clinical duties.
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' charts. Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Perform basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
• Perform basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
• May document the provider's encounter with patients. List all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions, as indicated by the provider. Transcribe patient orders including, but not limited to, laboratory tests, radiology tests and medications.

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Medical Assistant obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Certified or Registered both accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

What Additional Preferences We're Seeking

Experienced CMA preferred. Willing to train the right person. Will need to be organized and timely. Experience with blood draws and lab work needed. Must be able to communicate with others well. Consistent good attendance needed.
