What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

• Monitor accuracy, data quality, and integrity of CDI staff performance
• Conduct audits on clinical documentation specialists to ensure compliance with guidelines
• Collaborate with the CDI Manager to develop ongoing education and feedback for CDI specialists
• Review and analyze denial claims to support prevention strategies
• Provide timely feedback and recommendations for performance improvement

What is Required (Qualifications):

• Bachelor's degree in nursing, health information management, or a related field
• Minimum of five years of experience in clinical documentation
• Licensed RN
• Advanced knowledge of clinical documentation integrity practices and regulations
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

• Master's degree in a related field
• Certification as a Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) or Clinical Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP)
• Experience with 3M Encoder/Grouper and SMART software
• Familiarity with Medicare reimbursement systems and coding structures
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse healthcare teams
