Overview
Provides high level analytical and operational support in the design, development, and communication of long-term strategies in pursuit of business goals. Works closely with business and functional experts from other teams; convenes teams to accomplish goals. Influences peers on surrounding teams.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support planning and implementation of new projects, products, programs and initiatives to achieve short and long-term business objectives and strategic outcomes. Lead effort to maintain project documentation. Develop comprehensive documentation that aligns with regulatory expectations as required.
- Assists the team in addressing problems/solutions, risks and issues. Analyzes information, determining feasible solutions, articulating recommendations to project team. Apply critical thinking to independently navigate problems/issues.
- Reviews and analyzes highly complex departmental reports and spreadsheets, including productivity analyses, historical reporting, workflow analyses and financial analyses for Mortgage Operations. Ability to distill information and create an executive summary to drive action.
- Coordinates with internal business partners, external vendors and Technology to address issues impacting Mortgage Operations.
- Provides support for departmental audits including user certifications and compliance testing for Mortgage Operations.
- Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
- Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
- Leads the planning of departmental meetings including agenda, minutes, action items and follow-up.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Accounting, Engineering, or Business Administration and 5 years of relevant work experience
- Experience with financial analysis, regulatory analysis, process analysis and technical writing. Audit or Consulting experience.

The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation. The range listed above corresponds to our national pay range for this role. The specific pay range applicable to you may vary based on your location.
