The Role :

As Vendry’s Business Development Manager, you’ll be the frontline force helping brands kick off their search for the right agency partner, helping to craft their marketing strategies in the process. You’ll be responsible for leading our sales efforts with inbound RFP clients—those who have already expressed interest in starting an agency search through Vendry. This is not a traditional outbound-heavy role. Instead, it’s about deeply understanding each client’s needs, pitching our process, running intro calls, managing follow-ups, and ensuring a seamless transition into the matchmaking phase.

You’ll serve as both consultant and salesperson, ensuring that every interested brand sees the value in Vendry’s approach—and ultimately trusts us to guide them through their agency selection journey.

Responsibilities :

  • Own the full sales cycle for inbound agency search clients—from initial inquiry through signed engagement with our partners.
  • Conduct consultative sales calls to understand each client’s marketing needs and present Vendry’s search process.
  • Build and deliver compelling pitch materials and follow-ups that reflect Vendry’s value proposition.
  • Collaborate closely with the Agency Operations team to ensure smooth handoff and client experience.
  • Maintain detailed records in our CRM to track pipeline activity and conversion metrics.
  • Help evolve our sales materials and process based on feedback and performance.

Qualifications :

  • 3-5 years of experience in a sales or client-facing role, ideally in marketing, advertising, or agency services.
  • Proven ability to run structured sales calls and close consultative deals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple prospects at once.
  • Experience working in a remote environment and using CRM tools like HubSpot or Salesforce.
  • Based in Canada and able to work full-time remotely.
