Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented bookkeeper. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a tech or startup environment, be comfortable with cloud-based accounting systems, and possess a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
• 4+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a tech or startup environment;
• Proficient with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online;
• Familiarity with cloud-based tools (e.g., G Suite, Slack, etc);
• Excellent Excel or Google Spreadsheet skills;
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Knowledge of U.S. tax laws and compliance requirements is a plus;
• Fluency in English is a must.

In this role, you will …

• Record and categorize daily financial transactions (accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, etc.);
• Reconcile bank, credit card, vendor accounts and insurance carrier commission statements monthly;
• Process payroll and maintain payroll records;
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports;
• Assist with budget tracking and variance analysis;
• Maintain and organize digital financial records and documentation;
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies;
• Liaise with external accountants during audits and tax season;
• Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc projects and analysis.
