As Technical Lead for Infrastructure and Databases, you will be the technical reference for the evolution and maintenance of our cloud-based application and database ecosystem, ensuring scalability, resilience, and security. Your role will connect infrastructure and data, enhancing performance and operational efficiency. Collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement are part of our daily routine, as well as balancing technologies and costs to ensure an excellent experience for our clients.

This opportunity is remote, under CLT regime, with a 40-hour workweek.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Serve as a technical reference in infrastructure and databases, ensuring solution efficiency and scalability.
• Manage, maintain, and optimize large-scale databases, including RDBMS, NoSQL, Key-Value, NewSQL, and columnar databases.
• Contribute to the implementation and enhancement of TiDB, ensuring integration with other databases.
• Establish and strengthen connections between infrastructure, data, architecture, and software development, aiming for continuous performance and reliability improvements.
• Train and guide development teams on data modeling and efficient query creation, minimizing impact on client performance.
• Work closely with development, architecture, and data teams to ensure best practices and technical alignment.
• Assist in modernizing infrastructure and supporting the transition to new technologies.
• Support the team’s learning curve regarding databases and the adoption of TiDB.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong experience in infrastructure and database administration, especially in large-scale environments.
• Deep knowledge of relational and distributed databases.
• Practical experience with AWS and server configuration.
• Ability to act as a technical leader, influencing the team with technical guidance without direct management.
• Skill to train developers on good database practices.
• Self-taught profile with high autonomy to seek solutions and innovations.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with development, architecture, and data teams.
• Ability to contribute to the definition and evolution of data infrastructure, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
