We are seeking a highly motivated Benefits Administration & Payroll Manager to oversee payroll and benefits processes across Argentina, Brazil, and Chile. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of local labor laws and regulations, ensuring accurate payroll processing and effective employee benefits programs. This role requires leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex cross-border operations.

Critical Objectives:
Payroll Management:
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for employees in Argentina, Brazil, and Chile, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Manage relationships with external payroll providers and ensure accurate data transfer and reporting.
  • Implement and maintain payroll systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Resolve payroll inquiries from employees promptly.
  • Generate payroll reports to identify trends and discrepancies.
  • Ensure timely filing of payroll taxes and social security contributions.
Benefits Administration:
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health, life insurance, retirement plans, and others, in compliance with local laws.
  • Negotiate with benefits providers.
  • Redesign benefits processes to include self-service options for employees.
  • Review benefits programs regularly for competitiveness and effectiveness.
  • Communicate benefits information to employees.
  • Maintain a knowledge base on benefits topics.
  • Address benefits-related inquiries professionally and promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with benefits regulations.
  • Manage vacation and leave of absence processes.
Compliance and Reporting:
  • Stay updated on labor law changes in each country and ensure compliance.
  • Develop internal controls for data accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct internal audits on payroll and benefits policies.
  • Lead and mentor payroll and benefits teams across countries.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
  • Provide training and development for team members.
Cross-Border Operations:
  • Manage cross-border payroll and benefits complexities.
  • Coordinate with HR and finance teams in each country for seamless operations.
  • Resolve cross-border payroll and benefits issues.

Required skills include excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, strong leadership, fluency in English and Spanish or Portuguese (fluency in all three languages is highly desirable), and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently. Experience with union relationships is a plus.

Requirements and Prior Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration in Argentina, Brazil, and Chile.
  • Deep knowledge of local labor laws, tax regulations, and benefits practices.
  • Experience managing payroll and benefits for a multinational organization.
