Responsibilities

1. Backend Development & System Design: Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies; leverage strong system design skills to architect scalable, high-performance solutions.
2. Web Service Development: Build and maintain RESTful APIs and web services, ensuring seamless integration with mobile applications and other systems.
3. Agile Practices & Requirement Analysis: Participate in daily standups/scrums and agile development cycles; collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
4. Collaboration & Cross-Team Communication: Work closely with TPM, SQA, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals; communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical team members.
5. Code Quality & Review: Perform regular code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
6. Database Management: Manage and optimize data storage using MySQL (or similar RDBMS), ensuring data integrity and performance.
7. Source Control & Issue Management: Utilize Git or Bitbucket for version control and manage code repositories efficiently; estimate, track, and manage JIRA tickets throughout the project lifecycle.

Minimum Requirements

1. Java Proficiency: 7+ years of experience in software development, strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and API development.
2. RDBMS Expertise: Proven experience with MySQL or similar relational database systems.
3. Hibernate & MySQL: Experience or familiarity with Hibernate alongside MySQL.
4. AWS Experience: Experience developing and deploying Java services on AWS.
5. Lambda Functions: Design and development of AWS Lambda functions.
6. System Design & Requirement Translation: Ability to design scalable systems and translate requirements into functional, efficient code.
7. Source Control: Experience with Git or Bitbucket for source code management.
8. Agile & JIRA Management: Proficiency in working within agile environments and managing tasks/tickets via JIRA.
9. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
