Job summary

Avenue Code is seeking an experienced Back End Engineer to design and build high-performance APIs and lead long-term integrations with external vendors and ATS platforms.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in software development, deep TS/Node.js expertise, and fluency in English for daily collaboration. You will work on API design, scalable integrations, and complex ATS data ingestion projects.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of solid experience in software development.

• Proven track record designing high-performance APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Solid, deep experience with the TypeScript/Node.js ecosystem.

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Back End Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for designing and building high-performance APIs, as well as leading the development and long-term maintenance of complex integrations with external vendors and ATS (Applicant Tracking System) platforms.

Responsibilities

• Integration Development: Build robust integrations in TypeScript / Node.js with external vendors and platforms.
• API Design: Design, structure, and scale efficient, secure, and performant APIs.
• ATS Ecosystem: Build and maintain long-term integrations with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).

Required Qualifications

• Seniority: 8+ years of solid experience in software development.
• ATS & Data Ingestion: Proven experience building integrations with ATS platforms and/or handling large dataset ingestion.
• Performant APIs: Demonstrated track record of designing and delivering high-performance APIs.
• Testing: Hands-on experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Tech Stack: Solid and deep experience with the TypeScript / Node.js ecosystem.
• Databases: Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Language Proficiency: Advanced English proficiency (required for daily collaboration and communication).

Nice to Have Skills

• Integration Platforms: Experience with unified API platforms such as Merge or Kombo.
• HR Tech Ecosystem: Prior experience with ATS tools like Ashby, Workday, Greenhouse, etc.
• Front-End Exposure: Experience with React for front-end development.
