The Support / Assistant Operator job profile is a supportive role in an operational / execution environment, focusing on manual, repetitive work or assisting other operational roles to support the production process and enable more senior operational roles to be more productive.

The Support / Assistant Operator supports the production process by performing simple tasks associated with high-volume / repetitive work streams. The knowledge required for these tasks can generally be acquired through short explanations or instructions.

If the Support / Assistant Operator has specific tasks, activities are governed by detailed and precisely formulated instructions, with assistance available. Activities are performed at routine levels.

If working closely with more senior colleagues, the focus is on simple, supportive activities under explicit and close supervision. Examples include roles such as Bagger, Egg Sorter, Handler, Industrial Cleaner / Sweeper, Loader, Packaging Employee, Packer, Palletizer, or Universal Support / Assistant Operator. The common denominator is basic, repetitive work governed by detailed instructions, of an ancillary or supportive nature.

Job Description:

Operational activities:

• Performs various manual operational activities and/or operates basic machines/tools.
• Performs basic checks and controls on materials, such as weight verification, size checks, visual inspections, etc.
• Signals deviations to the supervisor.

Cleanliness:

• Maintains cleanliness of all equipment and work environment.

Communication:

• Discusses work with colleagues and supervisors.
• Provides information when requested, follows instructions and guidance from colleagues and supervisors.

Compliance:

• Works in accordance with all relevant safety regulations, procedures, and technical standards.
• Signals potentially dangerous and/or unsafe situations and takes appropriate measures in case of imminent unsafe situations.
