Responsibilities:
- Install various AV and IT equipment in new studios according to the plan or diagram provided by the Broadcast Engineer.
- Assemble professional video cameras, including lens, onboard monitor, and power supplies.
- Install professional video cameras in the studio and connect them via SDI wires to server room equipment.
- Ensure all digital video signals from cameras reach the desired equipment (video switcher, capturing device, monitor).
- Run low voltage wiring (Video, Audio, and Network Cabling) through studios and facilities, installing Server Racks, cameras, NVR/DVR, and other technology infrastructure.
- Run SDI, XLR, and Ethernet cables; wire tipping, crimping, and testing are significant parts of installations.
- Install professional studio lighting fixtures and modifiers according to the lighting scheme.
- Analyze and repair technical faults on equipment and systems.
- Minimize service disruption when equipment fails by quickly identifying issues and implementing alternative solutions.
Requirements:
- Training in Europe is required for this role, covering:
- 90 days in our Romania studio
- 90 days in our Serbia studio
- We will cover flights and accommodation expenses throughout!
- Experience in assembling/disassembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing computers/hardware.
- Knowledge and use of basic test equipment such as multimeters, and basic AC/DC circuitry are preferred.
- Knowledge of installing and soldering components on printed circuit boards following specifications.
- Basic knowledge of installing operating systems like Windows and Linux.
- Ability to install and configure peripheral devices and drivers such as monitors, scanners, and additional boards.
- Understanding of a television control room environment.
- Willingness to learn new technical skills.
- Basic knowledge of operating a video camera.
- Basic understanding of sound equipment like microphones and audio mixers.
- Understanding of photography concepts such as aperture, shutter speed, ISO, exposure, and camera lenses is a plus.
