Data Center Services Procurement supports Data Center Global Services by obtaining the best services at the lowest costs, managing the full "Supplier Lifecycle" including Strategic Sourcing, Onboarding, Solicitations, Spending and Transaction Policy (S&TP) Compliance, contract management, supplier development, and parts of requisitioning and payment operations.

We are seeking a Procurement professional to support the Americas data center construction space.

As a Procurement Operations Pre-Contract Specialist, you will collaborate with the category manager to create and support vendor qualifications, RFPs, data analysis, and vendor performance dashboards for construction, due diligence, and engineering services. You will also provide input on procurement processes and tools to identify waste and foster innovation. The ideal candidate must be collaborative, autonomous, highly analytical, strategic, and customer-focused. You should have a track record of managing multiple projects to completion, embrace Amazon’s Leadership Principles, and possess an entrepreneurial, "get it done" mentality.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Perform daily data entry to create purchase requisitions for assigned PR queue.
  2. Become a subject matter expert on procurement systems and policies.
  3. Manage supplier onboarding and qualification processes.
  4. Manage tender events and support contract generation alongside the category manager.
  5. Develop and improve process and training documentation.
  6. Contribute to dashboard development for metrics reporting.
  7. Audit tools and processes to ensure data integrity across systems such as the wiki, vendor management system, SharePoint, and shared drives.
  8. Train team members on procedures related to systems and purchasing.
