BBST - BrazilBoeing Brazil is seeking an Associate Electrical Power Systems Engineer, reporting to the Electrical Power Systems Manager, working out of the São Jose Dos Campos, Brazil office.
The Associate Electrical Power Systems Engineer will work with the Global Electrical Power Systems engineering team to support the development and certification of transport category airplanes. Review documentation and generate artifacts to demonstrate compliance with relevant regulatory and customer requirements, related to power generation, distribution functions, lighting and proximity sensing.
Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
• Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
• Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
• Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
• Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
• Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
• This position will require occasional national and/or international travel.
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
• Must have existing rights to work in Brazil
• Must have a Bachelor degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer engineering or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering
• Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).
• Fluent in both written and verbal English
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
• Some knowledge or experience on Product Development life cycle and applicable regulations.
• Some knowledge or experience in Safety Assessment standards.
• Familiar with Agile methodology (ex. JIRA).
• Some knowledge or experience with supplier qualification (ex. DO-160).
Relocation:

Additional Information:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
