We are seeking a technically skilled and hands-on Associate Director, Business Intelligence and Data Analytics to join our global team, supporting executive leadership in understanding and advancing Eurasia Group’s business performance. This São Paulo-based hybrid position is ideal for a data-driven professional seeking a focused analytics role at the heart of a growing, dynamic business. You will collect, organize, analyze, and present complex business data—guiding decisions on sales, profitability, client engagement, research capacity, and overall corporate strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as technical lead and primary steward of EG's business intelligence systems, managing the full backend-to-dashboard data flow.
  • Gather, integrate, validate, and organize raw data from sources including finance, sales, research readership, time cards, and client engagement, using Excel, PowerBI, Salesforce, and relational databases (including SQL). Proactively identify and lead improvements in BI infrastructure to scale with business needs.
  • Produce, maintain, and update a comprehensive set of recurring dashboards, with a particular focus on two areas: 1) monthly sales and financial reporting and 2) substantive research reports for clients, across a range of issue areas.
  • Lead the preparation and data analysis underlying quarterly business performance presentations for the CEO and senior leadership.
  • Provide hands-on, detailed support for research- and client-facing dashboards, as well as ad hoc performance and business analysis reports.
  • Connect and integrate multiple data sources across the business, ensuring data quality, consistency, and accessibility.
  • Own data uptime and monitoring of data pipelines, ensuring daily report refreshes run smoothly and without disruption.
  • Distill and communicate actionable business insights to non-technical audiences, ensuring clarity and credibility in all presentations and data tools.
  • Support innovative data and PowerBI initiatives, such as a political risk dashboard tool, as a contributor to the firm’s ongoing research/data innovation efforts.
  • Collaborate closely with finance, operations, and research leaders to deliver business-critical analytics and reporting.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of hands-on professional experience in business analytics, consulting, research, corporate strategy, data analysis, or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include business, statistics, economics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or related discipline. Advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing data dashboards for executive audiences; Proficiency in PowerBI (required), Excel (advanced), SQL & Salesforce (strongly preferred). Experience with ETL, DBT, or other modern data tools a plus.
  • Direct experience collecting and cleaning large and sometimes messy datasets; proven ability to present findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Prior work supporting business analytics in research, consulting, or professional services environments strongly preferred.
  • Curiosity, tenacity, intellectual rigor, high degree of organization, keen attention to detail, and ability to exercise discretion.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills; proven ability to work closely with senior leaders and across teams.
  • Ability to operate independently within a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in global affairs and political risk is a plus.
  • Comfortable working as the junior “doer” within a global team, engaging in hands-on data tasks in support of more senior team members.
  • Willingness and ability to adapt within a rapidly evolving business analytics structure.
