What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist the Budget Officer in directing the development and administration of the WSIB's biennial budget and annual non-appropriated budget
- Conduct detailed budget preparation, analysis, and administration of agency budget activities
- Present budget-related updates and analysis to Board members and the CEO
- Develop plans for office space, leases, and facilities planning in alignment with budget and growth needs
- Ensure compliance with agency, statewide, and federal budget policies and regulations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field with experience in public administration
- Professional-level experience in public sector budget development, financial analysis, and public policy
- Expertise in state budget, budget policy, and accounting principles
- Strong understanding of legislative and political processes
- Ability to analyze complex financial data and communicate effectively with diverse audiences
