What's the Opportunity?

The AI Engineering Leader has a pivotal role in our organization, responsible for guiding the team that develops enterprise-level solutions aimed at scaling and automating value-driven outcomes for our business. The leader will oversee all aspects of AI engineering, from conceptualization to deployment, ensuring the delivery of cutting-edge solutions that meet both business and technical requirements. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise and leadership skills, as you'll be responsible for driving AI projects from conceptualization to implementation.

What Will I Be Doing?

• Collaborating closely with both business and engineering teams to identify, define, and prioritize AI and machine learning projects
• Leading the quick and effective development of proofs of concept for various AI initiatives
• Designing, building, and deploying AI solutions using a stack that features Python, machine learning libraries, AI third-party services, and AWS services
• Serving as a mentor and technical leader within the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
• Communicating and planning between other teams
• Hiring for your team
• Driving technical direction in projects and ensuring they meet scalability and robustness requirements, involving other stakeholders when needed

What Skills Do I Need?

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with standard machine learning libraries
• Experience in applied machine learning projects
• Practical understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Natural Language Processing (NLP)
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS; experience with GCP is a plus
• Knowledge in building and deploying microservices
• Ability to integrate third-party APIs and AI services
• Experience with monitoring applications in production
• Experience with code versioning (GitHub, BitBucket, or similar)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Enjoy writing documentation and understand its value
• Fluent English
• Team player attitude
