In this role, you will work closely with the Sales team to secure business by providing energy‑efficient, tailored solutions for plant room and hydronic systems within the built environment. You will assess customer needs, interpret designs, and offer recommendations to optimize fluid systems. Your expertise in plant room design will help deliver cost‑effective solutions.

Additionally, you will support and train the Sales team in product selection and upselling opportunities. Occasional travel across Brazil will be required for technical discussions, presentations, and meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze customer requirements and review existing designs to provide optimized, energy‑efficient solutions for plant room systems.
  • Offer tailored recommendations to customers, ensuring the selected solutions enhance system performance and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to determine the best fit for Armstrong products and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
Plant Room Design & Optimization

  • Review P&ID drawings and system designs to assess potential areas for improvement and suggest energy‑efficient solutions.
  • Ensure that designs meet customer specifications, sustainability goals, and industry standards, as well as promote our best solution in line with our strategic goals.
Customer Enquiry & Solution Development
  • Evaluate customer enquiries, interpret technical specifications, and select appropriate Armstrong products to meet the customer’s needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop comprehensive solutions that address customer requirements and optimize fluid handling systems.
  • Engage in technical discussions with customers, helping them understand the benefits of the proposed solutions.
Product Selection & Quotation Preparation
  • Select Armstrong products based on technical needs and energy efficiency goals, ensuring the best possible match for the project.
  • Prepare accurate proposals using Armstrong's product selection tools and ensure they meet business and customer requirements.
  • Provide clear documentation and articulate the value of selected products to customers.
Strategic Collaboration & Support
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure alignment between technical solutions and customer goals, contributing to successful project outcomes.
  • Actively participate in internal meetings to review project progress, provide technical insights, and support sales efforts in closing deals.
  • Act as gatekeeper to the company sales process, ensuring all incoming information is provided by the external sales team (drawings, specification, POMA) and that solution development and peer review meetings are undertaken as defined.
Customer Engagement & Site Visits
  • Visit customer sites to evaluate plant room designs, offer on‑site technical guidance, and ensure that Armstrong’s solutions align with customer needs.
  • Provide technical presentations and product demonstrations to ensure customers fully understand the benefits and applications of Armstrong’s solutions.
  • Undertake ride‑along visits with the external sales team to help in delivery of our value proposition, energy analysis documentation and to cover off any technical queries that may occur.
Order Triage & Verification
  • Manage order triage once an order is received, ensuring compliance with submittal and purchase order requirements.
  • Perform commercial verification, ensuring all orders meet the necessary documentation and are processed accurately.
Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Sharing
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and new technologies to continuously improve plant room design processes and solutions.
  • Share technical knowledge with team members, providing guidance and training on best practices for energy‑efficient solutions.
