Application / Calibration Engineer

Project description

Tier 1 Automotive supplier specializing in Autonomous Drive products. Scope of work includes but is not limited to the implementation and integration of multiple software components (both Application and Platform level) to support the AD product line (all products including ultrasonic sensors, Cameras, LiDAR, Radar as well as Domain Controller ECU).

Responsibilities

• Test vehicle setup and commissioning of measurement devices
• Software update and configuration of Radar sensors
• Performance optimizations based on simulation tools
• Execution of driving tests at public roads or on dedicated proving grounds
• Resolution of customer tickets

SKILLS

Must have

• 5+ years in Automotive Software / Application Engineer positions
• 10+ years of professional experience in the Automotive domain
• Extensive experience and knowledge in embedded software programming in the Automotive Autonomous Drive domain
• Practical hands-on experience communicating with customers, creation of low-level design, source code, and unit tests, following industry coding standards (MISRA, etc.)
• Experience in sensor calibration (Cameras, ULS, Radars, etc.) and performing measurements during vehicle and bench testing, SW and CAL file flashing, SW debug, trace collection
• Extensive knowledge and experience with vehicle diagnostics
• Driver's license, proving ground driver's license
• Experience in calibration of sensor systems
• Experience in the usage of measurement tools and PC configuration
• Experience in the build-up of measurement hardware and wiring
• Good understanding of software development, adaptation of software test tools
• Customer-oriented, strong communication skills (German, English)
• Willingness to travel

Nice to have

• Experience with ASPICE assessments / audits and QCFuSA
• ISO 26262 Cybersecurity implementation
