This role involves applying industrial engineering principles to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.Job Responsibilities* Analyze current manufacturing processes, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.* Develop and optimize plant layouts, workstation designs, and material handling systems to improve flow, capacity, and safety.* Conduct time studies, motion studies, and work sampling to establish standard times and improve operational effectiveness.* Perform capacity planning and utilization analysis to ensure optimal resource allocation and production scheduling.* Implement Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other continuous improvement tools.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and logistics, to implement engineering changes and new processes.* Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation on project progress, findings, and recommendations.* Participate in the evaluation and selection of new equipment and technologies to support manufacturing advancements.* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, efficiency, and cost, and develop action plans for improvement.* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all industrial engineering initiatives.Job Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.* Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in industrial engineering within a manufacturing environment.* Strong understanding and application of Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.* Proficiency in time study, motion analysis, and process mapping techniques.* Experience with facility layout design and optimization software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).* Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).* Knowledge of manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus.BE AWARE OF FRAUD: When applying for a job at Jabil you will be contacted via correspondence through our official job portal with a jabil.com e-mail address; direct phone call from a member of the Jabil team; or direct e-mail with a jabil.com e-mail address.
