Responsibilities

Top 5 Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance modules for Magento 2 EE/Cloud with a focus on back-end functionality.
• Write clean, modular, and efficient PHP code following best practices and design patterns.
• Design and develop custom APIs, services, and integrations with third-party applications.
• Optimize database queries and performance tuning for high-traffic environments using MySQL or other relational databases.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews to ensure quality and security standards.
  
  

Additional Responsibilities

• Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD pipeline integration, automated deployments, and cloud hosting (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Debug and resolve server-side performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and scalability issues.
• Research and implement microservices architecture and headless commerce solutions for modern Magento applications.
• Work with GraphQL and REST APIs for seamless data exchange between front-end and back-end systems.
• Stay up-to-date with Magento security patches, upgrades, and best practices to maintain system integrity.
  
  

Qualifications

Top 5 Qualifications

• Strong expertise in PHP, Magento 2 (EE/Cloud), and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Advanced experience with MySQL, including query optimization, indexing, and database design.
• Solid understanding of Magento 2 System Architecture, Dependency Injection (DI), Repositories, and Services.
• Experience in developing custom Magento extensions (payment, shipping, checkout, etc.) following Magento coding standards.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, version control (Git), and modern development workflows.
  
  

Additional Responsibilities

• Knowledge of Redis, Elasticsearch, and Varnish for caching and performance improvements.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and SOAP web services.
• Exposure to Headless Magento (PWA, Vue Storefront, Adobe Commerce API) is an advantage.
• Familiarity with server-side scripting, cron jobs, and performance monitoring tools.
• Experience with Mirakl or other marketplace platforms is a huge plus.
• Excellent English Communication Skills.
