Our client is based on the outskirts of Basingstoke, Hampshire and due to growth are currently recruiting for the newly created role of Accounts Assistant. This role plays an integral part within the business and reports directly to Finance Manager.

What will the Accounts Assistant role involve?

• Raising sales Ledger invoices
• Processing purchase Ledger invoices
• Chasing outstanding debts
• Reconciling supplier statements
• Deal with all accounts queries
• Authorise customer shipments/obtain authorisation
• Providing customs clearance instructions
• Maintain up to date reports on Excel and SharePoint
• On going customer credit assessment
• Checking supplier statements
• Working with colleagues

Suitable Candidate for the Accounts Assistant vacancy:

• Excellent communications skills, strong numeracy skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel with accurate data entry
• Motivated, quick learner who is organised, efficient, and a team player with a passion for accounting
• A-level or finance-related qualification, experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage 50), or prior finance role experience
