This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Accounting Manager E-commerce based in the Brazil.

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager with a strong background in e-commerce accounting, financial reporting, and team leadership. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, efficient reporting, and effective management of transactions across multiple e-commerce platforms. You will play a key role in overseeing month-end closing activities, managing reconciliations, and strengthening financial processes in a dynamic digital commerce environment. Working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, you will provide valuable financial insights to support strategic planning and business growth. You will also lead and mentor accounting professionals while driving process improvements and automation initiatives. This is a fully remote, full-time opportunity offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on financial operations within a growing e-commerce business.

Accountabilities

• Accounting Operations Management: Oversee daily accounting activities and ensure accurate, timely, and efficient financial operations across the business.
• Month-End Closing: Lead the month-end closing process, ensuring all accounting activities, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial records are completed accurately and within established deadlines.
• Accounts Receivable and Reconciliations: Manage accounts receivable (AR), oversee financial reconciliations, and ensure consistency and accuracy across accounting records and payment platforms.
• E-commerce Financial Management: Review, monitor, and reconcile financial transactions generated through multiple e-commerce platforms, including Shopify, Stripe, Amazon, and TikTok Shop.
• Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and performance analyses to provide clear insights into business performance and financial health.
• Data Analysis: Analyze financial information, identify trends and discrepancies, and provide actionable recommendations to support informed business decisions.
• Process Improvement and Automation: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows, improve internal controls, enhance reporting accuracy, and implement automation initiatives.
• Team Leadership and Development: Manage, supervise, and mentor accounting team members, providing guidance, performance support, and opportunities for professional development.
• Strategic Business Partnership: Collaborate with senior leadership and relevant stakeholders to support financial planning, budgeting, business strategy, and operational decision-making.
• Financial Accuracy and Compliance: Promote reliable accounting practices, maintain accurate financial documentation, and support consistent financial reporting processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a dynamic e-commerce or digital business environment.
• Mandatory previous experience in e-commerce accounting, including managing financial transactions and reconciliations across online sales and payment platforms.
• Previous leadership experience in a role such as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, Senior Accountant, or a comparable position.
• Strong understanding of accounting operations, financial reporting, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures.
• Hands‑on experience reviewing and managing transactions from platforms such as Shopify, Stripe, Amazon, and TikTok Shop.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including:
  • Pivot Tables.
  • XLOOKUP and VLOOKUP.
  • Power Query.
  • Financial data analysis and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify financial discrepancies and recommend effective solutions.
• Experience improving accounting processes, optimizing workflows, and implementing automation initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop accounting teams while maintaining high standards of accuracy and accountability.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict reporting deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior management and cross‑functional teams.
• Advanced to fluent English proficiency, both written and spoken, is essential.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fully remote, international working environment.
