MDD helps insurance companies, independent adjustment firms, multinational corporations, government entities, and individuals calculate the true economic damage of claims or disputes.

MDD is looking for an Accounting Assistant with previous office experience to serve as an essential supporting function to our firm’s employees, Partners and clients across the US. As you will be joining a small evolving team, flexibility, collaboration, and a willingness to learn is key. The ideal candidate must be highly self-motivated, detail oriented and capable of working both independently and as a member of a team.

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable
  • Prepare AR statements / overdue notices
  • Build relationships with clients through professional calls and emails
  • Record AR follow up activity in our ERP software
  • Work with colleagues to escalate and resolve problematic receivables
Billing
  • Prepare, review, and process all client invoices
  • Send invoices to clients via email and client portals
  • Comply with client requirements around billing frequency and pricing
  • Monitor billing email inbox and respond to billing requests from Partners and Managers
  • Work with colleagues to escalate and resolve billing queries
Other administrative duties
  • Update our ERP software
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Degree or in-progress studies in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Fluent in English (Spanish is a plus)
  • Intermediate MS Excel and MS Word skills
  • Excellent time management and verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail as well as problem-solving and critical thinking skills are a must
  • Ability to change priorities and multitask efficiently
  • Possess an aptitude for numbers
