Purpose and Objective

Changing business requirements often result in the realignment of a company’s IT structure. To quickly align with these requirements, customer needs to create harmonize, consolidate, convert systems or create leaner development environments.

Job Expectations and Tasks

As part of the BTP Delivery at Scale team, you will participate in consulting projects for SAP customers worldwide. BTP Delivery at Scale is part of the Adoption Services Center and is responsible for delivering services in implementation, upgrades, or improvement projects.

Your main tasks as a Developer will include:

1. Design, coding, testing, and quality assurance of complex product features in a development team.
2. Drive initiatives and topics to resolution with high quality, speed, reliability, and efficiency.
3. Collaborate closely with others and share expertise to ensure product success.
4. Continuously improve work methods to gain state-of-the-art agile software engineering skills.
5. Enhance skills beyond core functional focus and work on other tasks for the benefit of the team.
6. Modeling, design, implementation, and testing based on SAP’s programming model.
7. Ensure high quality through creating and executing test cases, and reviewing specifications, design, and code.
8. Mentor colleagues in technical issues and assist in technical training to leverage team skills.
9. Support the business and Market Unit with estimations, clarifications, and presentations.

Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies

Technical Expertise:

• Proficient in software development and programming with ABAP Objects (ABAP OO).
• Experience in developing and consuming Gateway Services, Proxy Services, and OData services.
• Experience with SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) within the BTP Integration Suite.
• Experience with GRC – DRC Projects focusing on Document and Reporting Compliance.
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori Templates and Fiori UI5 (preferably).
• Proficient in Adobe Forms creation and management.
• Possession of relevant certifications or willingness to obtain them at SAP.
• Hands-on experience in SAP BTP ABAP RAP development.

Language Skills:

• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Intermediate proficiency in Spanish.

Development Knowledge & Best Practices:

• Strong understanding of development processes, standards, and tools.
• Deep knowledge of software development best practices, including Clean Code, SOLID principles, and OO design patterns.
