A COST CONTROLLING engineer position is open with A PRIORI EXCELÊNCIA EM RECURSOS HUMANOS in Curitiba, Brazil. The role focuses on material structure cost calculations, BOM validation, and close collaboration with global teams to ensure accurate costing across variants.

The candidate will manage standard cost processes, perform invoicing support, and drive cost reduction through data-driven analysis and BOM governance. Fluency in English and strong analytical skills are required.

Qualificações

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) with technical knowledge of how the product works.
• Prior experience in Cost Controlling, Cost Engineering, or related areas, preferably within an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to evaluate the parts structure (BOM), identify major material groups, and analyze end-to-end processes.
• Knowledge of SAP and related systems for standard cost and production order management (SICA, ISSA, CICS).
• Proficiency with Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataflow, Datamart).
• Python for automation and data analysis and MS SQL (Azure).
• Familiarity with variant and material structure management tools (WIS, EDB, Bereding, Webviewer, KOLA) is a plus.
• English: advanced/fluent level, essential for interface with global teams.

Responsabilidades

• Daily calculation of the material structure and pricing of variants for orders generated in SICA, keeping the order availability KPI above 90%.
• Verify that orders with GOK (produced) and INV (invoiced) status in SICA are 100% corrected to enable invoicing instructions.
• Review and ensure BOM accuracy for reference vehicles and options when specifications update occurs.
• Conduct weekly and monthly closing of invoices and produced units in ISSA.
• Monitor variance between standard surcharge and average cost monthly, supporting Financial Reporting with quantity analysis.
• Lead the annual standard cost calculation process for vehicles in the Bus portfolio.
• Review and update specifications of reference vehicles with Product/Manufacturing Engineering and Sales.
• Update material structure and cost of options for reference vehicles for the following year, prioritizing high-demand variants.
• Deliver the SCS for reference vehicles listed in the Variant Book to Commercial, supporting market communication with the new cost baseline.

Activities

• Daily calculation of the material structure and pricing of variants (options) for orders generated in SICA, keeping the order availability KPI for the Commercial area above 90;
• Daily verification that orders with GOK (produced) and INV (invoiced) status in SICA are 100% adjusted, enabling the Commercial area to proceed with invoicing instructions;
• Reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of the Bill of Materials (BOM) for reference vehicles and options whenever a specification update (introblock) occurs;
• Conducting the weekly and monthly closing of invoices and produced units in the ISSA system;
• Monthly monitoring of the variance between standard surcharge and average cost, supporting the Financial Reporting team in Quantity analysis and explanations;
• Leading the annual standard cost calculation process for vehicles in the Bus portfolio;
• Reviewing and updating the specification of reference vehicles monitored locally and globally, together with Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Sales;
• Updating the material structure and cost of options (variants) for reference vehicles for the following year, prioritizing variants with higher market demand;
• Delivering the SCS for reference vehicles listed in the Variant Book to the Commercial area, supporting market communication based on the new cost baseline.
