About the role:

As a Software Engineer on the Engineering team in Brazil, you will be a member of Uber's development center in LATAM, developing products across Uber and around the world.

About the team:

Uber Flash is a fast-growing business with 3.5 million monthly active users. It’s available in the Uber Rider app and lets people send or receive packages within their city for various peer-to-peer delivery needs.

This role will be part of a cross-functional team focused on building and launching features that drive growth. You will collaborate with other team members (backend and mobile engineers, PMs, designers, and data scientists) to design, develop, and maintain user interfaces and features for mobile applications (iOS/Android).

What you will do:

• Write high-quality code (reliable, readable, efficient, testable), provide quality code reviews, and create comprehensive tests and documentation using software engineering principles.
• Participate in on-call rotations and follow best practices to troubleshoot production incidents.
• Monitor product quality in production, identifying, triaging, and fixing bugs and inefficiencies.
• Have knowledge of data structures, algorithms, programming languages, and frameworks (e.g., Swift/Objective-C, Kotlin/Java).
• Maintain advanced English proficiency.
• Recent bachelor graduate in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, concluded between July/2024 and July/2025.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in software engineering through work, education, coursework, training, research, or similar in any area.

• Ability to understand and translate requirements into system design.
