Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Finance Analyst - Venture Capital in Bahrain. The role involves sourcing and evaluating startup investments, performing due diligence, and developing financial models and valuation analyses to support growth opportunities.

You will monitor portfolio performance, track KPIs, and contribute to market research on trends and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities aligned with the firm’s strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• CFA, CAIA, FMVA etc would be an added advantage.
• 3-5 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, transaction advisory, corporate finance, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate potential startup investment opportunities through inbound decks, industry sector mapping, and market trend analysis.
• Conduct due diligence by reviewing financial statements, business models, cap tables, and participating in founder interviews.
• Prepare financial models, valuation analyses, unit economics framework, and growth return projections for prospective targets.
• Monitor the performance of portfolio companies by tracking key KPIs, assisting with valuations, preparing portfolio reports, and supporting audit processes.
• Research industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies to identify investment opportunities aligned with the firm's strategy.
