Job summary

Arabian International Contracting Co. WLL in Bahrain seeks a skilled Project Planner to join our project controls team, focusing on schedule development, resource coordination, and progress tracking for heavy mechanical and civil works.

You will collaborate with Design, Procurement and HR to ensure plans meet contractual requirements, perform CPI analyses, and deliver monthly progress reports. A Bachelor’s in Engineering and at least 5 years in planning are required; willingness to travel across

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project planning and scheduling for mechanical and civil projects.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on Primavera for both pre-contract and post-contract activities.
• Develop project schedules, resource allocation schedules, cash flow projections, and related planning documents.
• Prepare material take-offs from IFC drawings.
• Coordinate with Design, Procurement, and HR teams to ensure timely arrangement of required resources.
• Monitor project progress to ensure alignment with the approved project plan.
• Develop and implement action plans to recover schedule slippages.
• Review and understand all relevant project documents and contractual conditions.
• Develop an appropriate Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in coordination with the Project Manager and Client.
• Review the overall project status with the Project Control Team and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
• Ensure all cost, planning, and document control reports are prepared in accordance with the Project Control Manual.
• Conduct CPI analysis, generate progress curves, monitor cash flow and expenses, and provide monthly activity forecasts to site foremen.
• Review site work progress and continuously monitor it against approved schedules and the client’s major construction milestones.
• Prepare monthly and weekly planning reports, review and evaluate contractor site progress, identify delays, and issue delay notices.

• Prior experience in heavy industrial projects will be considered an advantage.

• Be willing to work across Bahrain and other GCC locations, as required.
