Job summary

Trust Re in Bahrain is seeking a detail-oriented Actuarial Analyst to support actuarial reporting, regulatory compliance, financial planning, and risk management across the Company and affiliates.

The role collaborates with external consultants, underwriting teams, and the FP&A function to ensure timely reporting, accurate data, and robust risk monitoring.

Key duties include IFRS 17 reporting, data extraction and validation, budgeting support, and capital modeling to help informed decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science or related field.
• Progress toward actuarial qualification preferred.
• Experience in insurance or actuarial analysis is an advantage.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills required.

Responsibilities

• Extract, validate, and sanitize reinsurance policy data for external consultants.
• Respond to queries from external actuarial consultants and ensure timely resolution.
• Provide IFRS 17 reporting support.
• Prepare and submit regulatory actuarial reports for the company and affiliates.
• Assist FP&A Head with budgets, forecasts, and financial planning.
• Support capital modeling for the company and affiliates.
• Prepare risk control and monitoring reports.
• Support underwriting through aggregate and exposure monitoring.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the line manager.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Actuarial Analyst to support actuarial reporting, regulatory compliance, financial planning, and risk management activities. The successful candidate will work closely with external actuarial consultants, underwriting teams, and the FP&A function to ensure timely reporting, accurate data management, and effective risk monitoring across the Company and its affiliates.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract, validate, and sanitize reinsurance policy data for submission to external actuarial consultants.
• Respond promptly to queries and information requests from external actuarial consultants and ensure timely resolution.
• Provide actuarial support for IFRS 17 reporting and related activities.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports relating to actuarial data for the Company and its affiliates.
• Support the Head of FP&A in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning exercises.
• Assist the Manager, FP&A, in capital modeling exercises for the Company and its affiliates as required.
• Prepare risk control and monitoring reports for the Company and its affiliates.
• Support underwriting functions through aggregate and exposure (limit) monitoring activities.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the line manager.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Progress toward a recognized actuarial qualification (e.g., SOA, IFoA, CAS) is preferred.
• Relevant experience in insurance, reinsurance, actuarial analysis, or financial reporting is an advantage.
• Knowledge of IFRS 17, regulatory reporting requirements, and capital modeling concepts is desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict reporting deadlines.
